Dr.Web 7.0 for Android Light released

March 28, 2012

Doctor Web—the Russian IT security software developer—announces the release of the seventh version of its free anti-virus for Android—Dr.Web for Android Light. The new version incorporates a revamped interface and a number of new features.

Dr.Web 7.0 for Android

Dr.Web 7.0 for Android Light comes with improved support for Android 4.0 and a redesigned UI. The main window’s look and feel have been completely changed, and in Android versions 3.0 and higher, modifications have been made to the way the menu is brought up and displayed. A control panel was added—it can change its appearance depending on whether or not the monitor is running. And, the outer appearance and algorithm of the program panel have been redesigned. When the monitor is toggled on and off, widgets and the main application window are drawn in a different way, and the design of the “Select scan type” window has been changed to unify its interface with the main anti-virus window. In addition, the seventh version of Dr.Web for Android Light boasts a number of functional enhancements: improved performance and increased monitor stability. Now the application also supports Polish.

Android users can download Dr.Web 7.0 for Android Light дfor free on Google Play and from the Doctor Web site .
